World Environment Day
At SharonPly, World Environment Day is more than just a date on the calendar—it is a reaffirmation of our enduring commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable practices. Over the years, we have celebrated this occasion with meaningful public engagements that empower communities and spark innovative thinking.
2009: Rallying for a Cause – Chennai & Coimbatore
In partnership with 98.3 FM Radio Mirchi, SharonPly organized an awareness rally on June 5th, 2009, in both Chennai and Coimbatore to mark World Environment Day. The event brought together citizens, students, and environmental advocates in a vibrant display of solidarity against environmental degradation. The rally served as an early demonstration of SharonPly’s proactive environmental outreach.
2018: One Idea to Beat Plastic Pollution
In celebration of World Environment Day 2018, SharonPly hosted a month-long campaign titled ‘One Idea to Beat Plastic Pollution’, held from June 5th to July 5th. This initiative invited individuals from all walks of life to contribute innovative, actionable ideas aimed at reducing plastic pollution. The campaign fostered creativity, public awareness, and a sense of ownership in protecting our planet.
Our Legacy of Environmental Action
Through rallies, contests, and campaigns over the years, SharonPly has consistently inspired environmental consciousness and community involvement. Our celebrations of World Environment Day continue to evolve, but our mission remains the same—to create a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable future for all.
